Work From Home, is an exploration of the labor that is done in the household. This installation specifically explores the role of the “Housewife” in the home.
By taking the table outside the home it opens the conversation of how labor is represented
Most people see the end result of the food they eat and don’t realize the amount of labor that is put into it, the goal of this project is to deconstruct the amount of labor that is put in a typical meal
By showing the actual amount of labor that is put into a typical meal, we open the conversation on housewives and the depth of their work.
Having our own mothers involved in this process allowed us a chance to collaborate and create a homage in their honor.
